Vietnam: 10 fastest-growing travel destinations
Vnexpress recorded a massive amount of Korean inbound customers. Vietnam is one of the world’s 10 fastest-growing travel destinations, which is published by the United Nations World Tourism Organization. Famous tourist spots, including Halong Bay, Da Nang and Hoi An. These destinations target middle-aged tourists and are heavily favoured by South Koreans.

Ticket Monster: Value-for-money vacationing
Ticket Monster, a huge e-commerce platform has established in Korea and made an internal analysis of Da nang’s air ticket. July and August’s reports stated Danang is one of the most popular choices for Korean users.
Da Nang has increased in popularity since there are multiple appearances on Korean entertainment shows. The city is “value-for-money” vacationing spots, offers a series of food and affordable massages.
Skyscanner: “Best Seller” tickets
According to Skyscanner, Da Nang is named as “best-seller” flight tickets by South Korean in September 2019.
Top 5 Reasons: South Koreans are impressed by Vietnam
Geographical proximity: a direct flight from South Korea to Vietnam is 5 hours. The short distance allows young tourists to consume time to enjoy their vacations in four seasons.
Visa waiver: the Vietnamese government has enabled Korean passport holders to travel to Vietnam without holding a visa.
Developed tourist services: Korea and Vietnam tourism firms create all-in-one service packages, which satisfy outbound customers.
Cultural similarities: Vietnam cuisine is quite similar to Korea, such as rice main dish, the use of chopsticks, ways of communication and historical background.
Park Hang-Seo: the most popular football coach in Vietnam is from South Korea. Park guided the football team to win AFC Suzuki Cup in December 2018, and thereby he becomes a strong tie between the two nations.
South Korean investments in Vietnam
Vietnam Investment Review has announced a significant rise in the travel agencies in South Korea, including HoneyMoon, SM Entertainment, and Football Fantasium. The main reason for the growth is the upward trend of Vietnamese tourists, the marvellous victory of the Vietnam Football Team, and South Korean coach Park Hang Seo. These tourism companies are hoping to partner with Vietnamese travel firms to attract more outbound travellers

Conclusion
Vietnamese governments proposed to attract a huge amount of international tourists, reaching up to 20 million by 2020. Therefore, the travel sector would be 10 per cent of Vietnam’s GDP.
